Opening a New Word Document

Open Microsoft Word. (See 'Getting Started' Tutorial if you don't know how to do this) A blank document will appear on the screen.
If you need to open another new word document: Click on File menu and click on New. Select Blank Document and Click OK. a blank document will appear on screen. (Remember to save the document once you have entered some text. See 'Saving a Word Document' Tutorial)

Opening an Existing Document

Click on File menu and click on Open. The Open Dialogue Box will appear.
If necessary click the Look-in drop down arrow and select the required folder from the list.
Click on the File you require and then click on Open.

To Close a document, click on the Close

button in the right hand corner of the screen or click on the File menu and click on Close
